About The Daily Dad Reset
Hey, I’m Jeremy.
Dad of four boys, trying to lead with strength, presence, and faith in a loud, fast‑moving house where a wrestling match can start over a couch cushion.
The Daily Dad Reset is for dads who don’t need more parenting advice.
They need rhythm. Awareness. And a way to reset before the moment costs them.
It’s about noticing the moment sooner, five seconds earlier than last time, and choosing a better response.
Why It Matters
I write from inside the day itself, mid‑sentence and mid‑mistake, usually right after realizing I should have handled that better.
This space is for days like:
You swear you’re calm… until the third request to put shoes on
You care deeply, but your patience taps out before dinner
You want to lead well without turning into a drill sergeant or disappearing into your phone
Faith runs underneath everything here. It’s not quoted at you or used as a hammer. It shows up naturally, in real moments, tied to the work of becoming a steadier, more present dad. If faith isn’t your thing, you’ll still find yourself in these stories without feeling preached at.
If you’re trying to show up steady when life is loud, you’ll recognize yourself here.
Why This Exists
I’ve spent years working with adults, teaching, coaching, leading, and helping people function under pressure.
I’ve also spent years at home discovering that none of that automatically transfers when you’re tired, hungry, or stepping on Legos.
I tried going all‑in on one area at a time: faith, fitness, mindset. It worked… briefly. Then something else slid.
So I stopped chasing perfection in all three and started looking for something repeatable.
Something small enough to use on a Tuesday night.
Something impactful enough to help me respond better.
Something that didn’t require a ten‑page blueprint.
That became The Daily Dad Reset.
Not a system you have to keep up with.
A rhythm you can return to.
Habits you can tweak to the season.
Rituals that help run your home, not drive you crazy.
What You’ll Get
Two short posts each week:
Monday Reset
A real story, usually one I’m still laughing (or wincing) about, with reflection rooted in lived experience, shared values, and fatherhood.
Friday Fieldwork
One small practice to help you reset before the weekend tests you.
That’s it. No overload. No hype.
One Last Thing
This is built for dads, but you’re welcome here if the mission resonates. Moms, aunts, uncles, and grandparents often tell me they see their own lives reflected here too.
Most of us weren’t handed a playbook for leading with both strength and softness. We’re learning on the fly, between practices, meetings, and bedtime negotiations.
The practices here, reflection, rhythm, awareness, and faith, apply far beyond fatherhood.
Just don’t be surprised if we talk about Lego booby traps, Target meltdowns, and the ongoing effort to sneak vegetables onto a kid’s plate without being detected. And fart jokes, lots of fart jokes.
