What We’re Using at Our Table This Lent
This is a quiet, flexible family practice we’re using during Lent.
It’s not a program. It’s not a challenge. And it’s not something to “keep up with.”
It’s simply a shared rhythm, short pause most days to read a story, notice what’s happening inside us, and return our attention to God together.
If Lent has ever felt like pressure, performance, or one more thing to get right, this is meant to feel different.
How to Use This
Time: 10–20 minutes
When: Any meal, any time of day
Where: Home, restaurant, drive-thru — it all counts
Each day includes:
A short Scripture reading (included, no searching required)
A few reflection and application questions
A simple in-the-moment practice (1–3 minutes)
An open prayer prompt (anyone may pray; silence is always allowed)
There’s no order you need to follow. There’s nothing to catch up on. Missed days don’t require restarting.
Just return when you remember.
The Weekly Rhythm
Monday: Read the whole anchor story, then re‑read a short focus passage
Tuesday–Saturday: Re‑read only the daily focus passage
Sunday: Church and rest
Repetition is part of the practice. Familiarity builds safety.
The Weeks
Week 1 – Attention & Awareness
Noticing storms, thoughts, words, and calm, and how awareness shapes what comes next.
👉 [Week 1: Attention & Awareness]
Week 2 – Thoughts & Truth
Exploring how attention, fear, and thoughts influence trust, and how quiet helps us notice Jesus in the storm.
(More weeks will be added quietly as Lent continues.)
A Gentle Reminder
This practice isn’t about doing Lent “right.”
It’s about practicing return.
Return to the table. Return to one another. Return to God — without needing it to be perfect.
Silence counts. Presence counts. Coming back counts.
