Gratitude > gas got me laughing. I’ve seen the burrito turbulence too, and you’re right, nothing levels the cabin faster than ending with thanks. Might steal this ritual for my own crew.

I don’t know what it is about fart humor, but I never grew out of it. And if you’re talking about anything with boys, it belongs in the story.

Gratitude and gas probably go hand in hand more often than we admit.

The day I stop laughing at fart jokes with my son is the day I need a full cabin pressurization check. Gratitude keeps us cruising smooth, but gas is the turbulence that reminds us we’re alive.

What a great article about how our nightly gratitude routines can shift.. And I love how you end your article. Shifting the room's atmosphere to one of gratitude. So good! Also, we are at the first round of daily gratitude right now. Very surface level. We will continue the good work!

Thanks for reading!

We talk a lot about how an attitude of gratitude can help quiet a lot of strong emotions in ourselves and our family. So glad to hear you are starting gratitude with your family, it has really been an uplifting ritual for ours!

That’s a really good approach to those strong emotions. And they are strong.

I love this and the evolution of gratitude. Best of all is that everyone goes to sleep happier and more easily! That’s pure gold! 💙

Thanks for reading! It really is one of my favorite resets to practice with my kids right before bedtime. No matter if it was a good day or not-so-good day, gratitude can be how we always end the day.

I love it! We did something similar when the big kids were little. Somewhere along the way, schedules, busyness of life…it fell by the wayside. We now will share our gratitude when we all come together over a meal. Bedtime doesn’t have the same level of craziness as it did, although my youngest can give us a run for the money!

That is awesome! Gratitude can really be done at anytime, anywhere.

For us, end of the day makes sense MOST of the time. Sometimes it happens at meal time or even on the way to sports or Scouts.
