When we are on autopilot, we optimize for survival, not intention, and by the time you notice the gap between who you meant to be and who you're actually showing up as... the kids are older and the window of opportunity is a little smaller.
With my kids still young, I’ve learned that the more I grind, the more I drift. Those little dad resets are what pull me out of autopilot and back into their world right now…
before it shifts into a new one overnight, like it always does.
